ChopChop Privacy Policy.

We collect information directly from you, automatically through your use of the Service, and from third parties.

A. Information You Provide

• Account Details: name, email, username, password, profile image.
• Billing Information: payment details processed by Apple, Google, or Stripe.
• User Content: comments, likes, follows, watchlists, playlists, and reactions.
• Support Requests: messages or inquiries sent to us.

B. Information We Collect Automatically

• Usage Data: watch history, episode progress, engagement activity (likes, shares, comments).
• Device Data: IP address, device type, operating system, app version, region, and language.
• Cookies and Similar Technologies: used for authentication, analytics, and personalization.

C. Information From Third Parties

• If you sign in via Google, Apple, or another platform, we may receive your name, email, and profile photo.
• We may receive analytics data or advertising insights from partners for performance measurement.

We use your information to:

• Deliver, personalize, and improve your ChopChop experience.
• Manage subscriptions, episode unlocks, and entitlements.
• Provide customer support and technical assistance.
• Enable social and community features such as comments, likes, and playlists.
• Communicate updates, recommendations, and promotions (opt-out available).
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
• Comply with legal requirements and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data as follows:

• Service Providers: trusted vendors providing hosting, analytics, payment processing, or customer support under confidentiality agreements.
• Affiliates and Partners: only when necessary to deliver co-produced or integrated content experiences.
• Legal Disclosures: to comply with applicable laws or protect the safety and rights of ChopChop or others.
• With Consent: if you choose to share or link your content externally.

A. General Rights

You can:

• Access and download your personal data.
• Request correction or deletion.
• Withdraw consent or opt out of certain uses.

B. California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

• Know the categories and purposes of personal data we collect and disclose.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Opt out of data sale or sharing (we do not sell personal data).
• Limit use of sensitive personal information.
• Exercise your rights without discrimination.

We retain information as long as necessary to provide the Service or meet legal obligations. You may delete your account anytime in Settings.

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data, including encryption and access control. However, no system is completely secure.

Your data may be processed in the United States or other countries that may have different data protection standards than your home country.

Children under 13 may use ChopChop only with verifiable parental consent. We ask every account for a date of birth, once. If the account holder is under 13, the account stays inactive until a parent or guardian confirms it: we send them the request, and they approve it themselves. Until they do, the account can watch the free window and nothing else.

Consent opens the account. It does not remove the protections. For every account under 18, whether or not consent has been given: no advertising of any kind, no public profile and no discovery by other viewers, no purchases, and no third-party analytics. Accounts under 13 also cannot post comments — reactions stay available. These limits are enforced on our servers, not only in the app.

A parent or guardian can withdraw consent, ask what we hold, or ask us to delete it, at any time, by writing to privacy@onchopchop.com from any address. We delete the account and its data on request.

We may revise this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be posted with a new effective date. Significant changes will be communicated in-app or by email.
