What you get

Build a catalog. Keep what it earns.

  • Your titles, cut for vertical. A feature, a short, or a series. Our clipping engine proposes the cuts — you approve every one.
  • You keep your rights. Your film stays yours. Take it down whenever you want.
  • You earn from the first slice. Half of what your titles make, paid monthly.
  • You keep the fans and the numbers. Viewers follow your titles, your cast, and your crew. You see how they watched, moment by moment.
  • You cut your own promos. Pull clips from your titles and find out which ones travel before you spend a dollar boosting them.
  • You can ask your audience. Put a question to the people who actually watched and get an answer before you shoot the next one.

Questions

How it works, plainly.

Who can apply, and with what?

Filmmakers, writers, producers, actors, crew, production companies, studios, and brands — with a single title or a whole library.

We take features, shorts, series, microdramas, documentaries, and sponsored content. Work shot horizontal is fine; most of what we take was. If it isn’t finished yet, apply anyway and mark the status.

What does it cost?

Nothing to apply, and nothing to start. There are three ways in.

DistributeFreeYou keep 50%
Advanced$299/moYou keep 70%
White label$2,300/moYou keep 85%

Distribute puts your titles on the ChopChop app at no cost, with standard viewer data on your own work.

Advanced adds the full data dashboard, exports, and priority placement.

White label is your own branded app on our engine, on your own domain. By invitation — tell us on the form and we’ll set up a call.

How do I get paid?

Paid monthly, starting with the first slice — there’s no threshold to clear first.

On the free tier you keep 50% of what your titles earn. Paid tiers raise your share. Bringing five or more titles? The split is negotiable — say so on the form.

Who cuts my film into slices?

Our clipping engine proposes where the cuts fall. You review every one, and nothing publishes without your approval. You can set the cuts yourself instead.

Who owns my film?

You do. Bringing a title to ChopChop doesn’t transfer ownership, and you can take it down whenever you want. Your catalog, your call.

Specific terms are set out in your agreement before anything goes live.

Do I have to be exclusive?

No. But if a title is exclusive to ChopChop, tell us — exclusives get marketing and promotional resources that non-exclusives don’t. Either way, you can export slices of your own titles and use them elsewhere.

What if my film has music in it?

We run a clearance review before anything publishes. If a cue isn’t cleared for this use, we’ll flag it and work out a replacement or a hold with you.

What do I learn about my audience?

How people actually watched — where they leaned in, where they left, and what turned a viewer into a paying one. Moment-level, on your own titles, and yours to keep.

You can also ask them directly. Put a question to the people who finished your title and read the answers.

Can I use ChopChop to promote my film elsewhere?

Yes. Cut clips from your own titles and post them wherever you want.

You’ll see which clips travel and which ones stall, so you know what to put money behind before you spend it.
